Live is back up, DEFCON level drops to three

xboxlivelogo4

Microsoft’s confirmed that Xbox Live is now back up following a day-log period of maintenance.

Looks pretty much the same as it did yesterday, but it’s probably more awesomer behind the scenes.

Go teabag a Spartan, or something.

I don’t even play online but last night it felt…. weird. Isolated. Like “I Am Legend”. But with less zombie things.

Actually, this caught me out. I wasn’t going to play online, but I was going to play Sacred 2. However, I’d cleared my cache a couple of days before, and never re-downloaded the update, and without that update, there’s a risk of save file corruption.

So I couldn’t play Sacred 2. :(

Web slung my way through New York for a bit instead. :)

And not for the better. It’s horrible!

I like the new profile area on Xbox.com but unfortunately it’s now just as laggy as the 360 dashboard.

I was about to comment that it seems a lot faster than before – how strange.

Imagine. I had to actually go and play SF4 at a friends house, in person!! I mean, how ridiculous is that?!?!

I do hope this improves the horrendous “freeze” issues that have plagued the new dashboard (for me at least) since they updated it. Typical microsoft – we’ll have spyware to contend with next..

Interacting with humanity?

How tragic.

Face to face, yes. I thought society had moved past that?

Oh well. All it takes is one generation messing up and we’ll be back in the stone-age anyway. ;)

That’s good. What about the “freezing” issue when opening up friends lists etc?

I assume this is preparation for the Facespace/Twitter/Sky stuff though.
