Diablo III – screens for the soul
Gamespot’s got some apparently new shots of Diablo III. Waiting for this is turning out to be a genuinely unpleasant process.
No date. No idea of a date. Spectacularly slow and steady drip-feeding of assets. It’s like an expert wank.
God willing, there’ll be more from Blizzcon at the end of August.

They didn’t say it wasn’t “ever” coming to consoles. Just that it wasn’t on the cards right now.
That said… I’d be surprised.

Diablo is abit like The Sims when it comes to PC sales, the series actually does well so console ports arnt really that needed to rake in money unlike alot of other PC games.

Who needs assets when you have community manager Bashiok drip-feeding loads of details on the Battle.net forums? Check http://diii.net/ (or even better http://www.blizzblues.com/diablo3 ) for more, this is gonna be ace and I am glad they’re focusing on one version, PC fully deserves its exclusives too and knowing Blizzard you won’t need an über machine for this at all.
If people are being honest then DIII doesn’t look that much better graphically than Titan Quest (which is a 2006 game), art style and setting are much more appealing though.

I’m with you, Lutz. I want this game on my 360 in a baaaaaaad way. I played the shit out of 1, 2, and LoD on my PC, but I broke my neck 10 years ago and my shoulders can’t take PC gaming anymore. It must be on a console (don’t care which although on xbox live would be best) or I won’t get to play it. I loved the other games. Especially the Sean Connery sounding guy in the main camp. “Go buy youshef a shword”. Classic!
