“Didn’t they say Islands would be free?”
Have you be living under a rock for the past 6 months? They announced *ages* ago that it was being changed to premium content.
Personally, I’m not complaining. There’s so many extra content with the island it’s worth it; a huge new location, 9 new cars, dozens of new challenges (for cars *and* bikes)… so on and so forth.
Downloading as we speak.

Mike, as mentioned here they’ve changed their mind.
— Quote —
“We’d mentioned in a previous podcast that this would be free content, but we can now confirm that it will be premium paid-for content.
Here’s why. We never expected to create anything this ambitious for the island, but as it progressed we got more and more excited about what it could become.”

However, it sounds like a very fair price for what is on offer here, so I’ll probably get it.

Oh jesus, where are all these PC fanboys coming from all of a sudden?
Yes, free on consoles. The first three updates to this game, which included a huge number of additions, were completely free. And still are.
