First Assassin’s Creed PSP shots released

assassinscreeda

Ubi’s put out the first proper shots of the PSP version of Assassin’s Creed, subtitled Bloodlines. Get them from Kotaku.

It’s a fully new game, bridging events between the first title and its spectacular-looking sequel.

More through there.

Wow! I repeat, wow!
Didn’t expect a fully fledged 3D AC…
Wonder how the storyline will work out…

Gotta admit, for a PSP game, that looks pretty damn impressive.

And those are blown up shots, so on the machine itself, in your hands, its going to look even nicer.

Either that’s a graphics glitch in one of those shots or Altair’s hidden wrist blade is now three feet long. Fuck discretion, eh? ;)

Looks aside, the lack of a second analogue stick will really make this a real ball-ache to play. I wish developers would work to the strengths of the PSP format rather than make smaller, fiddlier versions of existing console games.

First time in ages I’ve been tempted by a PSP game.

When they announced they were going to make God of War PSP people immediately went nuts. They lambasted it before it’s release that it would never be as good looking/handling as on the PS2 but it turned out to be an incredible, solid game in it’s own right with a great control system. I’m gonna let AssCreed simmer a bit before judging whether it’s crap or not.

God of War doesn’t have an adjustable camera, though. Even on PS2.

Ubisoft are just masters of art direction aren’t they?

It’s not technical prowess that makes that look good. It’s just good old fashioned art direction.
