Activsion provides workaround for Prototype install issues

prototype10

PS3 owners who had issues with installing Prototype can use a workaround provided by Activision.

Apparently, an error comes up saying that players have insufficient hard drive space. Until a patch is released to fix it, here’s what you can do:

  • Change the available space on your hard drive by 700 MB even if you have enough memory and delete nonessential items.
  • Once you have made the necessary change to your Hard Drive space insert the Prototype disc back into your PS3 and it should now install.
  • The goal of this is to change the available space on the hard drive. You may need to try a combination of things.

More information, including how to clear HD space, can be found here.

Lolz pretty much like installin a game on PC, some games you gotta have 10gb free while installin but the game actually only takes up 2gb when installed.

yes indeed. it’s how they work. really? it never happend to me. proabably because.. um. nah. hey u know console used to be a symbol of easy game installing for everyone, bug free games, no need for patching. ofc we all had that on the pc at that time, and we still do, but now guess what? u have it too! u know why? because games have gotten a little more complex for the consoles as well. i guess we could say that console crowd grew up a bit. but what i don’t understand is, why do u trash pc games geki?

Gotta get this, but won’t have time to play it for a while, because I’m having too much fun with Red Faction.
