New Super Mario Bros. Wii announced
Cammie Dunaway has just announced New Super Mario Bros. Wii at Nintendo’s E3 press conference in LA.
It’s in 2D and being honest, it looked awesome.
Better still, it’s out later this year.

People will go mad for anything if the graphics represent Mario in it. They completely lose the ability to assess it objectively the moment they see a moustache and dungarees.
Less pointless waggle and more challenge would be welcome in a new Wii Mario game.

I don’t think there’s anything truly loathsome about NSMB. It’s very safe, though. Indeed, this conference was quite ‘safe’ in a lot of ways. Creatively, it’s drawing from a pretty empty well at the moment.
