E3 2009 – Nintendo press conference liveblog!

it’s hard to get excited due to last year’s, but its also hard to remain calm. We’ll see, and pray

If Nintendo announce one thing which I find exciting then they’ll have exceeded my expectations.

Mario. Has to be. It’s the shortest conference out of the lot. My money’s on the plumber being the star attraction.

Pikmin 3, and Zelda!

Still looking for my ‘one thing’, then.

It’ll be 90% sale figures, 5% stupidity, 3% crappy games and 2% half interesting games i bet.

I’m actually looking forward to seeing Wii Fit Plus, oddly. Just from a geek perspective.

So are the same people covering both this and the sony conf. Is it in the same room ? Will there be a massive bundle (to use the schoolboy vernacular) from one room to the other ? What happens if Nintendo overrun ? etc ?

my pessimist half says it will be more like Gekidami’s ravaging anti-nintendo galore. My optimist half (well, more like 1/6) says there will be a teaser for the new Zelda and Pikmin 3. No Mario unless its for DS, rather too early for a Wii one

2D Metroid = Instant Win.

I’d be happy is there was a new Zelda or Metroid, i’d be willing to undust my Wii for them.

Charts are a certainty at this one.

I’m putting money on a long slideshow of oldies enjoying the Wii / DS.

This is the single-most greatest intro to a news piece in the history of the world ever. I can almost *smell* Mario’s genitalia… and I like it.

Wii motion plus looks fun, it’s just a bit worrying that pretty much all this was shown last year

There is a better emphasis on the more traditional games, but Nintendo don’t always come across that great in these things. Underwhelming is pretty much my reaction so far too though.

COP looked decent though, pretty spiffy graphics for DS too.
