ESRB rates FFVII for PS3 and PSP

The ESRB has rated Final Fantasy VII for both PS3 and PSP, which means those lucky Americans are going to be looking at the game as a download at some point in the future.

No idea if it’s coming to Europe. It’s already released on PSN in Japan.

so in Europe you don’t have an ESRB? or is it called something else.

If its coming stateside, then it should come to Europe. Awesome news, just don’t understand why they would have to rate something that has already been done.

“so in Europe you don’t have an ESRB? or is it called something else.”

The ESRB are an American orginisation.

Different countries in Europe have their own voluntary ratings committee which tend to differ from country to country, the most common being Pan European Game Information (PEGI).

As for why this is being rated, I can only assume a game needs to be rated per platform, regardless of whatever rating it had 14 years ago on the PS1.

Playing this on the PSP would be pretty cool. Count me in… if I can find an memory stick large enough. ¬_¬
