Well ideally they would schedule their projects so that as one rolls off full production another one is ramping up. Either that and go the whole hog with the movie model and hire people as contractors. Constantly dealing with all the HR admin of either hiring or firing permanent staff sounds more like a hindrance to me.

If people think that their position is 100% secured when work on LARGE projects is finished they are nuts.

Any decent devco will keep a core staff on, but ramp up/down during peak project times, it is the ONLY sensible business practice.

On the other hand they could be downsizing a bit having staffed up to ship those four games. They must have had to take on a few extra to get all of those out in such a short window

I've found GRIN's stuff very hit and miss. Wanted and Rearmed are great, Commando and Terminator are pretty awful. Still, a shame to see this happening - seems to be the case every time a big(ish) name game flops.

Indeed, I really thought they were an up and up developer. They're a talented bunch too, Bionic Commando is superb, and Wanted and Rearmed were great too. I hope they bounce back from this.

Ouch. This seems particularly weird given that they appear to have been so prolific over the last 12 months - every other game appears to have been created by Grin of late.
