Big boss appears on Kojima teaser site, Raiden hits Famitsu

bigboss

It’s a Metal Gear game, OK? The Kojima teaser site‘s timer ended last night to reveal another time and a picture of Big Boss.

In case you’re still unconvinced, the latest Famitsu is showing Big Boss and Raiden in its pages, alongside shots of the site and the letters “MGS”.

The site is now counting down to 3.00pm PST on Sunday, May 31.

Kojima’s teasing skills wouldn’t seem out of place in an expert brothel. We’ll know everything next week.

Thanks, KingCharMing.

It’s going to be 1 game PSP and 1 PS3 with interconnectivity between the two. They hinted at advances in story by playing through both. The New Metal gear takes place about 7 years after MGS4

Does anybody actually believe Kojima when he says that “this is definitely my last ever Metal Gear game”?

@Gekidami
It’s in Famitsu PSP+PS3 magazine first of all, not Famistu or Famitsu 360.

…I have no idea what i’m looking at through that link, looks like a quoted conversation between 2 people rather then something from a mag…

To his slight credit, he did say 4 was the end of Snakes story, and not the end of the franchise. Still, unless its a dramatic departure, I can’t give a fuck.

PROJECT “RAIDEN”
The word “Raiden” (雷電, “Raiden”?) literally means “thunder and lightning” in Japanese. In the later half of Metal Gear Solid 4, there are various references to this, notably his dialogue referencing lightning when he makes his appearance right before Snake enters the microwave corridor. He also mentions that he was born on a rainy day – with a pessimistic tone – to which Snake replies that he is “the lightning in that rain.

He also says:
“I AM LIGHTNING THE RAIN TRANSFORMED”

Just as I said, PS3 exclusive with PSP support. Something that only Hideo would dare to do and actually succeed at it.

I was thinking that R = Raiden and P = Pliskin, but since Pliskin is Snake, and Snake is dying (allegedly), that would make no sense.

If you play as cool Raiden in MGS4 then that would be alright….although I really want to play the game as Vamp.
