Sonic the Hedgehog lands on iPhone with little fanfare

sonic

Sega has quietly released the original Sonic the Hedgehog for iPods and iPhone on the App Store.

Seven zones are there for users to speed through including Green Hill and Labyrinth, along with some special stages as well.

Options include arcade and full-screen views, and it will run you £3.49 ($4.99).

At this point, £3.49 seems a little steep for the original Sonic. It should have been a 59p game or something.

I think you can buy a megadrive and 40 games for that on ebay these days.

1. iPhone uses a touch sensitive pad, not buttons, liek sonic should be played with.
2. Not many SEGA lovers out there today. I mean, I still enjoy sum Sonic Gems collection, I bought Space Channel 5 last year, and rly want to play MadWorld, but how many others out there are liek me? Few, I’d guess.
