Beyond Good and Evil 2 will not be shown at E3 this year

beyondgoodandevila

Ubisoft will not be showing a playable version of Beyond Good & Evil 2 at E3 this year.

“We’re not doing any BG&E2 stuff at E3,” a Ubisoft rep told UGO when it asked to book an appointment.

The site goes on to say that it’s possible the game might make an appearance during the Ubisoft press conference, but don’t bet on it just yet.

Attendees will just have to be satisfied with Assassins Creed 2, Avatar and Splinter Cell, we reckon.

Does this mean that the leaked trailer is fake?

Hmph. :(
I thought we would see a new trailer like the first official one, perhaps six months later (because that one seemed to be part of a focused series) and then, increasing to every two, and then one, as the release date drew nearer.

Only makes me wonder if the action-packed clip that leaked recently, may have soured them on the idea of showing much of anything, at E3. But, there’s still always a hope of something at their own conference, I suppose.

Given that its James Cameron’s Avatar how can they show anything of it given the major secrecy surrounding the movies visuals. Anything they showed would get leaked very quickly.

JonFE, nobody but the games media has suggested that leaked video has anything to do with BG&E 2. Ubisoft haven’t claimed any association with that footage. Which is quite a significant detail.

This is why putting the word “Rumour” next to something on a news site means absolutely nothing. People are already misled and make inappropriate associations that they’ll never question. The games media just shrugs and does the “just the messenger” act and absolve themselves of any responsibility.

It’s rather convenient that you made that comment JonFE. I should be thanking you for demonstrating my point.

Is R.U.S.E. (multiplatform RTS, with emphasis on the “s”, is my impression, from the interview they did) also likely to be there? That one seems to be absent from the article, is all.
