Sony shoots down slimmer PS3 rumors

Sony: No plans for PS3 Slim, immediate PS3 price cut, PS2 BC, etc.

I don’t regret buying my Triple, but man oh man, it’ll be a long 10 years if this keeps up.

The PS3 needs a price cut, not a redesign. And it won’t be getting either for some time.

Where did this supposed rumour come from, anyway? This denial is the first I’ve heard of it.

They’ll always deny it until the last minute because anything they announce in advance will cripple current sales. They have a lot of PS3′s still to shift, so if they announce a slim PS3 + price cut, then everybody is going to wait for that to arrive, rather than buy one now. It’s common business sense.

I’m not convinced of a slim PS3 this E3, but it’s inevitable eventually.

One of their bosses (Reeves maybe, can’t remember) a month or so ago said they’d get it onto smaller nm tech this year but no sign of a slim and I have no reason to doubt him for once.

Oh what do you expect, the slim PS3 rumor came from PS Lifestyle. Of course, every rumor you now gonna hear from them is fake, fake, fake (unless cited from an official source, which they cant do apparently).

And you better have flamewear ready, one of the writers on there is being a fucktard of late, never got his period. Labeled the original story as fake on N4G, jesus, he spam commented on GOONL!NE, reported illegitmately the stories I have done on N4G and more.

So yeah, PSLS = Not a trusted source, deemed fake.

Why not just give us our BC.? Then we’ll all be happy.
