Sony has shot down rumors that a PS3 redesign is currently in the works.
Reports regarding a slimmer PS3 made the rounds yesterday, claiming that Sony planned to announce both the redesign and a new PSP at E3.
Sony UK, however, has told CVG that it “doesn’t have any plans for a redesigned PS3.”
Still no comment from Sony on the PSP Go!, but hopefully E3 will shed more light on that one.

They’ll always deny it until the last minute because anything they announce in advance will cripple current sales. They have a lot of PS3’s still to shift, so if they announce a slim PS3 + price cut, then everybody is going to wait for that to arrive, rather than buy one now. It’s common business sense.
I’m not convinced of a slim PS3 this E3, but it’s inevitable eventually.

One of their bosses (Reeves maybe, can’t remember) a month or so ago said they’d get it onto smaller nm tech this year but no sign of a slim and I have no reason to doubt him for once.

And you better have flamewear ready, one of the writers on there is being a fucktard of late, never got his period. Labeled the original story as fake on N4G, jesus, he spam commented on GOONL!NE, reported illegitmately the stories I have done on N4G and more.
