French site posts possible footage of Beyond Good & Evil 2

French gaming site EverSonic has posted what appears to be footage from Ubisoft’s upcoming Beyond Good & Evil sequel.
Nothing official suggests it other than looks, but thanks to Kotaku, you can judge for yourself after the break.
The game was announced last year, and that’s about it really.

Looks fantastic… but I suspect that’s not in game.

Execept that the footage came out of nowhere and that the website claims “I’m the webmaster of Eversonic. I can assure you that we do not have this video
Konata [00h15] : we really don’t know why they linked us”

No way is that gameplay, the camera movement is just too severe to give a player the reaction time exhibited in that video. Mirror’s Edge is a good frame of reference for how much (or little) environmental awareness needs to be given to the player.
As for the BG+E2, not sure. The cattle featured seemed a bit too real-world to belong to BG+E’s universe even if the character bears a passing resemblence to Jade. Jade wasn’t as nimble as that though.
Nice conceptual vid. Absolutely not a video of a game being played by a human in real-time though.

Looks cool but yeah definitely just a concept video.
Oh and it looks like its set either in India or some area inspired by India, their is even the colours of the Indian flag on the copter at the end of the video.

There’s no way this is not jade, at a moment in the video you hear her voice because she is pushed away and it’s the exact same voice from the first one and by that i mean that they’ve taken the same sound.

Target render surely (Killzone 2 anyone?).
Still, if they get close to that it’ll be amazing.
Loved the first, no idea how it manged to review so well and sell so little – I guess there must a bar somewhere for games like this, Okami, Ico, etc to hang out and muse on what the heck went wrong at retail.
I hope the second doesn’t lose the feel of the first but manages to sell a heck of a lot better.

Could be a quicktime sequence…

I’d honestly love this to be true and, if anyone, Ubisoft can pull it through. Not having an optional third-person in Mirror’s Edge was a missed opportunity…

It’s definitely not in-game, but I sure hope it’s the right game.
