Duke Nukem Forever artist, Chris Smith, has released some shots of the title over on his personal blog.

Stating on the page that he is currently looking for work now that 3D Realms has gone bust, Smith wrote nothing but positive things about his experience on the project.

“Two years, nine months. Now it’s over. It was fun while it lasted. I worked with an extraordinary bunch of artists, designers, and programmers. You will all be missed.”

The previously unreleased shots of the game are also posted over on D’toid.

I wonder how internal versions of DNF they went through over the years…

They would never have been able to live up to expectations anyway as everyone would go “this all you have to show after so many years” even though it was the product of just two to three years work.

Edit: There is some concept art from DNF at the link below – also slightly NSFW – beware the three tits monster!!

Still can’t shake the feeling that this is just a ruse and they’re getting ready to say ‘gotcha’ and release the game, it’s just the kind of thing 3D Realms would do, but it’s gettings harder to believe with each day.
