Rumor: Call of Duty 7 set in Cuba, Vietnam

Rumor has it that the next Call of Duty game will take place in Cuba and Vietnam.
According to a source close to That VideoGame Blog, Activision has been looking at licensing tunes released during the Vietnam era (1959-1975), as well as African, Cuban, and Russian music.
Call of Duty: World at War senior producer Noah Heller is supposedly on board, which if it proves to be true, it’s a Treyarch game.
Activison’s response to these rumors was the usual: “Activision doesn’t comment on rumor and speculation.”
Thanks, D’toid.

Who cares… Treyarch can keep Call of Duty in the past with its ye olde weapons.
IW seem to have re-branded their game now anyway, so people should eventually stop seeing a link between the two.

Chances are it would be CoD6 not 7 wouldn’t it? I mean becuase Modern Warefare 2 no longer has the CoD name…

Exactly Roybott, but I get yelled at every time I even start the argument over the CoD titles. Seriously though – CoD:WaW was not “technically” CoD5 or it would have had the number in the title right? It wasn’t Call of Duty 5: World at War like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was. Ok, I just opened myself up to get yelled at again……
*Sigh* Just like a damn woman.

lol
I’ve personally never been a fan of having numbers in video game titles after the 2nd game. People should just refer to them by their subtitle… but I guess that’s where this problem starts, if they don’t have one yet (like CoD 6/7).
