so u think there is no market for games in those list of countries you mentioned.I agree that not many buy games. In order to buy a game you would have to sell your arm or a leg.Price it like this and the suffering is guaranteed.

No, he's totally right. County cricket is dying on its arse, nobody cares about it any more. It's a sport that's totally out of touch with modern society, the everyman doesn't have time for a long game of cricket any more.

Twenty 20 is excellent, it's rejuvenated the sport, and international test matches are still great. But in terms of County cricket, it's not something people are generally interested in.

I'd love a new Cricket game for consoles, but I can see why there isn't anything forthcoming. The only real market would be England, and maybe Australia, but Australia isn't a huge market. USA has zero interest in cricket, and it'd sell all of about 10 copies over there, literally. They wouldn't even release it.

The other big cricketing nations, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh - NONE of them are profitable markets in which to release a game. Hell, I doubt the current crop of consoles are even available in those countries, and if they are, piracy would be rife. Of a packed stadium of people watching India vs WI, a very small percentage of them could actually afford to buy a cricket game. Just having a number of people is not enough, there has to be a market there, and there just isn't.

moore...USA is not the world. you say you love cricket but then laugh at the county level. fyi, your not doing us a favor by producing cricket games. rather, i'd suggest you stop producing them. in this way you can help people not waste their precious money on rehashed garbage like C07 and soon-to-be released C09 !

you say you were watching Glamorgan and Leicestershire, and there was, like, four men and a dog...! first off....they are counties and not even international teams.
if your skeptical about producing a cricket game based on the above match...then it really amazes me as to how you acquired such a big designation.

second, have ya ever seen ODI or T20 matches played in the subcontinent ??...you may even lose your hearing abilities...its that noisy...the type of crowd and environment you wont find even in a ManU vs Chealsea match.

When was the last time I bought a CD? That would be 2 this week, with one pre-ordered for next week. Very, very few artists are flat out ignoring a CD release of their album, why, because the demand is still there.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Moore and his insights into the trade, but I just prefer a physical product. Does anyone know how CD sales are doing vs downloads, are they still top?

Isn't "Are you nervous about switching over to the next platform, whatever the next platform is? It’s pretty clear it’s going to be a very long cycle." supposed to be in bold type ?
