Batman: Arkham Asylum pushed to the “end of summer 2009″

Following a Game Informer rumour that Batman: Arkham Asylum had been delayed until the fourth quarter, Eidos has confirmed the game’s dropped from June 23 to the “end of summer 2009″ in the US.
A statement from the company said only that the game was being moved back in order to allow extra time for polish.
“This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers,” said Warner and Eidos.
No date has been given for Europe as yet.
More soon, hopefully.

My guess, ps3 complications delayed the release.

More like Eidos just wants to clear it of the other june releases.

Could just be that they have realised how big the game is in terms of hype and following and want to make the game a little bit more polished to justify the hype machine it’s clearly going to steam roll out soon.
Delays of this sort of welcome in my books. Gives the game just that little bit more to make it really what it should be.
