The Danish firm’s issued a statement saying it’s no longer able to fulfil its financial obligations.
More through there.

ESRB rates FFVII for PS3 and PSP

The ESRB has rated Final Fantasy VII for both PS3 and PSP, which means those lucky Americans are going to be looking at the game as a download at some point in the future.
No idea if it’s coming to Europe. It’s already released on PSN in Japan.

E3 2009 – What it looks like today

Kotaku’s posted up a ton of photos from the LACC, showing ads for the likes of Brutal Legend, Splinter Cell: Conviction and the rest.
Something to get you in the mood.

Tekken 6 E3 trailer shows people fighting

Namco’s released the Tekken 6 E3 trailer, and it looks pretty much like Tekken 6.
We’re trying to feel it. It’s not really working.
See fro yourself after the break.

Borderlands E3 trailer is super-cool

After the break. The Gearbox shooter will be pride of place on the 2K stand at E3 next week, and with good reason from the look of this.
It’s out for PC, PS3 and 360 later this year.

Dead Rising 2 has E3 trailer, includes zombies

Dead Rising 2′s E3 trailer’s after the break. It’s zombie city. Man in yellow jacket is the mayor.
The game’s a no-show for LA, thanks to swine flu fears.

Nikkei – New Wii Fit and Wii Mario this year

Looks as though Sony isn’t the only one sailing a leaky ship to LA. Nikkei’s reported that Nintendo’s to release a new Wii Fit – presumably Wii Fit Plus – and a new Wii Mario game in Japan this year.
There’s no detail at all on the Mario outing, but the piece says that the new Wii Fit title will have internet capability.
We should start running a book on whether or not a platform holder’s presser’s going to make it to the show intact. Only the MS stuff to be leaked, now.
Thanks, IGN.

Weekly MMO news round-up: Formula One MMO, SWTOR dev diary, loads of WoW stuff

E3 is almost upon us so there is bound to be some new MMO announced or a bit of decent enough MMO news coming out of the event by this time next week, so expect this post to either be thicker – or thinner. Depends on how huge the news was to begin with when it hits.
This week, there is more of the usual. Screens, dev diaries, class changes, new quests being added. World of Warcraft had the most bit of news though, and even if it wasn’t earth-shattering, it was still a bunch.
Read on after the break for your fix.

Well, here we are, then. Someone’s posted the entire PSP Go section of June’s Qore episode on YouTube, in direct-feed HD. Thanks, p0rkch0p69.
Fake? Of course not. You can see everything in plenty of detail there.
Rest of the coverage from today’s announcement:

PSP Go to land in stores this fall, says Koller

Looks like the full version of the Qore episode that was leaked earlier has landed in Eurogamer’s lap.
In it, John Koller himself says that PSP Go! will hit stores this fall.
“It’s a 3.8-inch screen, it’s 43 percent lighter than the PSP-3000, 16 gigs flash memory, Bluetooth support and all digital content so the UMD drive goes away so it’s going to be something a lot of consumers like – download straight to a hard drive,” he said.
“There’s games like Gran Turismo that are being announced at E3, and LittleBigPlanet that’s been announced before, and Jak & Daxter and there’s even a new Metal Gear Solid coming, so all those games will be available…”
“Integration with PSP is very important to us. And it works just like PSP-3000… A lot of people like to be able to take their content from PS3 with them on the go.”
Our heads just popped a bit.
Full thing through the link.

Microsoft job posting says new studio being built from the ground up

Microsoft is hiring, and what the company is hiring for is leading some to speculate that it’s for the rumored motion control hardware that has been churning on the net for what seems like months.
Here’s the listing, found by Gamespot:
Are you interested in shipping innovative games that will change the way people play? If so, we want you to join our team to work on an amazing next-generation project, built from the ground up, in Microsoft Game Studios. We are building a NEW GAME STUDIO from the ground up that will revolutionize both WHAT you play and HOW you play. You have the chance to get in on the ground floor and work with professionals responsible for some of the industry’s greatest innovations to date. (Emphasis in the original.)
Note the bold type.
Definitely makes you perk your ears up a little.
Thanks, 1UP.

Below the break you will get a look at two different videos from DJ Hero.
First one is played in expert mode, featuring KRS-1’s Jack of Spades (DJ Shadow Mix) vs David Bowie’s Lets Dance. Just like you heard in the interview posted yesterday.
Second one is Tears for Fears Shout vs Eric Prydz Pjanoo played in hard mode.
Both come courtesy of YouTube, which is on fire today. Fire we say!
Thanks: GoNintendo, Ripten.

Edge of Twilight video is beautiful and bit depressing

SouthPeak has released a lovely, but kind of depressing video for Edge of Twilight.
The steampunk adventure is out for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this summer.
Players will assume the role of an ostracized bounty hunter named Lex who must find his place in a world lorded over by the industrialized Atherns and the spiritual Lithern.
Video is posted on Eurogamer Germany.

Dead Space: Extraction E3 video is a bit dark and foreboding

In every shadow, terror hides.
That’s what the E3 trailer for Dead Space: Extraction shows you after the break.
Looks as intense as the first one. No one likes a mutant alien/human hybrid bent on turning you to jelly hiding in the dark. Just waiting for you.
Blame D’Toid should you get nervous watching.
Wii users will get their hands on it in September.

Prepare yourselves.

PSP Go – hi-res product shots

Oh dear. Eurogamer’s published hi-res grabs of PSP Go, which appears to have been inadvertently “announced” in an early copy of June’s Qore today.
Watch the movie here. in addition, SCEA’s John Koller’s seemingly confirmed a new Metal Gear for the machine – get details on that here.

Freedom Force games are dirt cheap on Steam

Steam has Freedom Force and Freedom Force vs The Third Reich up for $4.49 each.
Even better, you can get the Freedom Force pack which contains both games for $6.74.
Dirt cheap really. You have no excuse.
Thanks, Hunam.

Koller – New Metal Gear heading to PSP

SCEA’s John Koller has apparently announced a PSP version of Metal Gear Solid in a movie of PSP Go that hit the web today.
Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, Jak & Daxter and Metal Gear games are all mentioned in the video, which includes footage of the machine interspersed with Koller being interviewed.
Watch it, quick.
