Mass Effect prequel coming to iPhone

A two-hour “animated presentation” Mass Effect prequel is on the way to iPhone, according to this Kotaku story.
The game is to include top-down arcade-style space combat, and will detail Jacob’s story. We don’t know who Jacob is, but there we are.
The title’s been revealed by a marketing survey, according to that piece, and features “a biotic-powered super-soldier who stumbles across a plot to terrorize civilization’s greatest beacon of hope”. It’s to cost $2.99.
No date, or official confirmation at this point. Full thing through there.

Anyway, if it’ll work on iPod Touch (which never gets mentioned in conjunction with iPhone games – although 9 times out of 10 they work on both machines) I’m buying it.

I thought it was 10 times out of 10? They’re no different are they?
Edit: Apart from the phone thing.

I didn’t want to speak out of turn. Strange that it’s always “iPhone.”

iTouch does everything an iPhone does, except for the phone and camera stuff.

I know. So why are games only billed as iPhone games, when they’re iPhone/iTouch games? Not a slight on VG247, btw. Every site does it.

I was thrown by that, before. I wondered whether I could use a touch to play these games (rather than being restricted to Apple’s network provider of choice – which I think is awful!), but I imagined they both went to get their data from seperate servers, or something equally silly! :p
