BioWare cleansing the term “gay” from The Old Republic

Uh oh. BioWare is apparently censoring the words “gay,” “homosexual” and “lesbian” from the Old Republic message boards.
Why? According to moderator Sean Dahlberg, “As I have stated before, these are terms that do not exist in Star Wars.”
At least you’re not alone, Stephen. Just a hunch, but you can probably expect this to get quite ugly.
Thanks, Kotaku.

He’s right, there are no homosexuals in Star Wars. But it is okay to want to get off with your sister.
Oh wait, what about C3PO?

“Gay”; ok maybe, after all its often used as an insault, but “Homosexual” and “Lesbian”? Terrible move.

Actually, the official stance is that homosexuality may exist in the Star Wars universe, they just have no words for it. As Dahlberg said; these are TERMS that do not exist in Star Wars.

Sounds like a crappy cop-out to me.

It’s a proven medical fact in the Star Wars universe that midichlorians prevent gayness.
