Report: Empire bites the dust

According to this MCV report, Empire’s entered administration.

Says the piece, all staff have been sent home from the firm’s London offices and redundancies are being worked through.

An official announcement’s expected on Monday.

This is a a real shame – my sincere condolences to all Empire staffers who might be reading. FlatOut was really good fun and I remember Ghost Master on the PC being proper quality, too. It’s a great disappointment to lose another UK publisher – looks like Codies is the last one with its independence left.

Hopefully the Flatout devs won’t get buggered by this, that game is pure racing gold…
