Rumor: Matthew McConaughey to star in Uncharted movie
Oh dear.
An anonymous tipster has told ThePlaystationNetwork that Matthew McConaughey is in talks to star as Nathan Drake in a film based on the Uncharted franchise.
The source did not give the site any more information than that, but considering Hollywood loves to make movies based on games, the prospect shouldn’t be too shocking.

i love uncharted and although it seems like a bad idea at first I think he is actually somewhat of a good fit.

I really liked him in A Time to Kill, but other than that he’s been in nothing but crap.
Unfortunately he can only do one voice, his own, so the character of Drake would really suffer as a result.

They got a real actor for the voice and motion capture in the game, even has the likeness. Just use that guy.
But if they want a more famous person Nathan Fillion would be a way better choice then “that guy who’s in a lot of crappy rom coms”.

Considering Drake is all but based on Fillion, this would seem a bit of a silly choice, though I don’t mind ol’ Bongos personally. He’s been in some shit films, but I quite like the fella.

McConaughey has actually been in 2-3 Uncharted style movies already so its right up his mediocre alley.
Maybe thats why they are interested in him, I really hope they find someone else.
