All that bad press didn’t do Kane and Lynch any harm then, who’d have thunk?

Because most of the bad press was restricted to the gaming press – Maxim and such gave it glowing reviews! :D

Actually, K&L is quite a good game, if a little rough around the edges, and didn’t deserve the slapping it got. IMO. That was just Eidos being shite.

TR sales are actually pretty “fair”.

I enjoyed Kane & Lynch. Most of the bad press was entirely cyclical, bad press about bad press, more than about the actual game itself. It’s a shame that most people seem unable to look past bad press/reviews and actually try things out for themselves. Sure, it was quite average in a lot of areas. But parts of it were enjoyable, and the characters were great.

I’m saddened to see the comparatively low numbers of Deus Ex. Not surprised, but saddened. The first one was an amazing experience (at the time), and the second really did not deserve the “dumbed down for consoles lol!” slating and shunning it got. Both the continuation of the story and the delivery (if you’d managed to get over that yes it had been made more accessible for consoles and had the nads to just accept that and enjoy it for what it was) were top notch.
