Famitsu thinks Killzone 2’s worth 32/40, according to the game’s review in the magazine’s latest issue. The Guerrilla shooter was given 8/8/8/8 by the mag’s panel.
Tom Clancy’s HAWX got exactly the same score, meaning that either Killzone 2 is as good as HAWX, or HAWX is as good as Killzone 2.
The obvious question: is either as good as Halo?

How much did Haze get again?

34. The same as Lair.

Famitsu scores are always all over the place.
Lair better than Killzone 2? Ha!

They’re a useful litmus test for JRPGs but I find our tastes diverge pretty heavily elsewhere.
Does anybody know much about the Japanese games press in general? It can’t be all Famitsu :p

According to the interwebz Famitsu is the only one lol.

Aren’t there a bunch of magazines that also cover anime/manga/pop culture at large? Denki Magazine for instance – think I saw that mentioned somewhere.

Dengeki. There are also platform-specific versions of Famitsu, and some of the anime mags also cover video games, like Shonen Jump.
