Leisure Suit Larry creator says Box Office Bust is a "disaster"

Al Lowe, the original creator of Leisure Suit Larry, says that the latest addition to the franchise is a "disaster".

Lowe wrote on his blog that he was not consulted during the development process for Leisure Suit Larry : Box Office Bust, and furthermore, is happy that he never received a review copy of the game.

“All I know about [Box Office Bust] is what I’ve read online. VU (and later Activision, Team17 and Codemasters) did not consult me nor discuss anything about this game with me. In fact, they’ve expressed no interest in me whatsoever,” he wrote.

“For a while, I hoped that they would remember to send me a review copy. Now that the reviews are in, it’s just as well that they didn’t!

“Thank you, VU Games, for keeping me completely away from this latest disaster!“

The game's MetaCritic rating is 28 percent.
