WipEout HD 1.30 gets shots

SCEE announced last night that WipEout HD is to be bumped to v1.30 today, an update to add rankings, badges and podium placements. Check out shots of the new stuff after the break.

I don’t understand why they didn’t have these features at launch but i do like WipEout, so this will make me play it a bit more.

Not really; private lobbies are something I’ve enjoyed for years, they’re the meat of online gaming as far as I’m concerned. It’d be like having a nice chat and booze with your mates in a pub and then getting an annoying stranger trying to join in the conversation.

You can’t be grateful that you’re getting free updates to your dirt cheap game, oh no.

Not when they’re basic features like private lobbies and friend invites. Those are the features I’m talking about.
