Nintendo issues revised opening UK DSi sales figures to 92k

Nintendo’s told VG247 that DSi sold 92,000 units in the UK in its opening weekend, not 103,000 as previously reported.
Both figures came from Chart-Track. The UK tracking body just revised its figure to the lower amount.
DSi enjoyed the fourth largest hardware launch in British history last week.

I think it’s sort of reassuring that the DSi hasn’t done quite as well as expected so far. Perhaps the public at large aren’t the Nintendo buying zombies that I feared they’d become.
£150 seems a lot for what is in some ways a downgrade compared to the Lite.
Are there some people out there who believe that you have to have the DSi to play the ‘latest’ DS games such as Rhythm Tengoku Gold..?

“What was the expected figure?”
Over 9,000 at least.
..I’m sorry. The urge was impossible to resist.
