Crytek trademarks GFACE, CARVATAR and KINGDOMS

cryteklogoa

According to this inCrysis report, Crytek’s trademarked the names GFACE, CARVATAR and KINGDOMS.

That’s it. Fingers crossed we’re not going to be playing Crysis: GFACE any time soon.

Thanks, IGN.

I still bet it’s the names of middleware-apps for cryengine 3. See the gi.biz interview, where Yerli talks about how racing games and MMO developers were interested in licensing the engine.

cheers,

Alex

GFACE sounds like a new create-your-own-avatar mode in Saints Row 3.

GFACE could be a character’s name – though that would be borrowing from Half-Life (G-Man)
