Iron Fist will be one of 24 playable characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, according to Kotaku.

We know this for a fact: we saw it first hand at GDC.

Iron Fist? What, the Phantom was busy? :p Also, isn’t there already that Luke Cage chap, that’s big on fighting using his fists?

Definitely a case of attempting to give a damn…Damn not given. Good to see I’m not the only one, though. Looking at the picture he looks a bit like a cross between Boogerman, and a renegade, jaded ex-army guy or something, just leapt out his bedroom window in whatever was in his wardrobe – I don’t know what else to make of this character, lol!

Aah, the ever-eager to criticise voice of ignorance.

Iron Fist has been an established b-list Marvel character since 1974, 35 years ago, introduced the same year as the Punisher. He may not have been quirky, cool or controversial enough to venture into other media like all the a-listers milked to death at every opportunity, but he certainly wasn’t just plucked out of thin air with no rhyme or reason.

Personally I think it’s nice to see UA2 putting some of the less over-exposed characters to work. The Marvel Universe is rediculously huge and lore-heavy with a billion characters half the world has never seen or heard of. Its nice to see some of them in action for a change and not just fall back on the the same old “wolverine and/or spiderman = $$$” formula. For my money, that was one of the more enjoyable aspects of UA1.

Wow…I had a couple Powerman and Iron Fist comics back in the days of underoos. Don’t remember that costume though.

Cool. He was one of the reasons I took up martial arts nearly 30 years ago.

    Def gonna play him.
