Germany goes bonkers with mature games labeling

A photo posted over on NeoGAF shows a German version of GTA: Chinatown Wars with an amazingly large warning label on the package.
The USK label underneath the big red sticker apparently wasn’t enough.
Germany has shown renewed vigor over violent and mature videogames since the Winnenden school shooting earlier in the month.
Thanks, GamePolitics.

Germany has always had insane “vigor” over monitoring violent content in in any sort of content.
Cause, you know, it’s much better to censor it than the deal with it. That’s been the rule of the country since 1946.

What delusional, sugar-coated universe are you living in?
“Free is just another word for socialist”

Kind of to be expected really, after what just happened and all.
BTW, 40 euros! Ouch!

Oh, nice one… Are you an American??? If so, why don’t you tell me something about the US and the (allmost) ban of all nudity(Nipplegate anyone???)??
I for myself belive its much better for our Chirldren to be saved from extreme violence than to save them from something natural as nudity.
as for the Picture:
1. The Game isn’t cut or anything. So much for freedom and so on…
2. Only the big Red one in the left corner is an official Rating sticker.
3. The other big red one is from the store(and it’s only on the plastic wrapper(the part of the game you throw away) )
4. and the Last one is the price tag, witch is placed on the wrapper again.
So when you remove the wrapper you only have the Cover an the big, big buttugly USk Label.
And yes… 40€ is damn expensive for a DS Game.
