According to this Siliconera report, Katamari Damacy Tribute will release on PS3 later this year.
It’s a 1080p version, apparently, a first for the series.
There’s a few scant details through there, and there’s no confirmation of the game releasing outside Japan.

I’ve listened to the soundtrack.

It’s great. We Love Katamari is charming beyond belief.
How many of these have they released now? They must be rolling in it.

There’s a demo of the 360 version, isn’t there? Maybe I’ll download it.

Definitely try it, Blerk, they’re ace. Superb music too

Haven’t played it but the 360 version is supposed to be the poor relation. Bit of an effort, but I would recommend anyone to dust off the PS2 and trawl eBay/CEX for WLK. It’s more than just the niche-geek-japanophile-hype that surrounds it, genuinely a unique title with a lovingly handmade feel about it.

Yeah, I hear it’s ‘not the best version’, but it should be enough to at least give me a flavour of what it’s like.
PAL WLK is pretty difficult to get hold of these days, isn’t it? It had a stupidly limited release, iirc. A quick check of PlayTrade suggests it’s ‘not cheap’.

Bit steep, but if you happen to have a spare score lying around…

I might be able to grab a copy of WLK for you to borrow, Blerk
Blerk said:
I might take you up on that if I like the demo, ta.
