EA: Dead Space for Wii was a “no-brainer”

EA’s Steve Papoutsis has told Eurogamer that a Wii Dead Space game was a dead cert.
“Doing a Dead Space game for the Nintendo Wii was a no-brainer,” he said.
“It’s a great system that has helped evolve video games. The motion controls the system offers provide developers with an all new tool box to leverage in the games we make.
As well as motion-controlling, EA simply wanted to bring the franchise to a new audience with Extraction.
“Another big reason why we wanted to do Dead Space: Extraction on the Wii is that we had a lot of untold story and wanted to give Wii players a chance to experience a Dead Space game,” Papoutsis added.
Extraction releases later this year.

I’ll wait for the proper HD sequel on PS3 and 360 without the gimmicky waggle.
