At the end of the day, whether it actually is or not. Sony say that the demo is NOT free, and the official line is that it’s “EXCLUSIVE” to those who pre-order. Simple as that.

So Sony are ‘taking advantage’ of people who don’t know how to play the system. Which is probably the vast majority. I certainly wouldn’t have tried without someone telling me how easy it was.
