I still think ‘utter shit’ is pushing it. Most people have said the single-player’s good but not great, and that it’s in co-op that it really shines.

And I’ve read plenty of reviews that like the single-player. So ‘nearly every publication’ is overstating the case a little, too.

@Hero – I didn’t refer to the scores, I was talking about the bulk of the text in the reviews.

Nearly every publication has stated that it’s a great game *if* you have a partner to play it with. They pretty much all concede that the sidekick AI is more than a bit crappy and that this detracts from the *single player* experience.

Every reviews painted it as utter shit?

From what I’ve seen, most reviews have painted it as “decent enough despite the focus away from the horror aspects”.

Aye, no-one on my friend lists playing this either (PS3). I’m avoiding it partly because of the rough demo but mostly because every single review basically paints it as being utter shit unless you have someone to play the game co-op with
