Nintendo Europe’s put out a huge release date list for the second quarter, putting Punch-Out!! down for a “May” launch, getting a little more specific on the Play Control! version of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, and has dated the first proper DSi title, Rhythm Paradise, for May 1.

DSi releases in Europe on April 3.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is now down for “June” as opposed to the “summer” date given last week.

Rhythm Paradise, named Rhythm Heaven in the US, will be an American DSi launch title on April 5.

Nintendo of America put out its second quarter dates at the end of February.

Assuming you’re willing to overlook several really good games you know nothing about just because they’re on Nintendo systems, no.

There’s at least five excellent games on Wii there, and a good few more which are likely to be more than decent. (I can expand further should anyone wish me to do so.)

I’m not saying it’s a ‘wow’-worthy list, and it’s a huge pity that the majority of first-party content (on Wii) is GameCube remakes but it’s seemingly very easy for people to be dismissive of anything that’s not AAA on Wii compared with mediocre titles on the HD consoles.

Oh, and Rhythm Paradise isn’t specifically a DSi title, it’s just accompanying the console’s release in the US. It’ll work on ‘normal’ DSes as well.

What makes you think that I don’t have a Wii, Hero?

Mad World & The Conduit look excellent, and as Canton says, I’m sure there will be a few surprise hits amongst the rest.

@ Blerk – I never said you didn’t have a Wii. But I know several people who’ll buy any old shite on 360 and PS3 and completely ignore perfectly good stuff on Wii. It’s baffling.

If you feel like doing Nintendo’s job for them, knock yourself out.

Nintendo are rich as fuck. Here’s more shit you won’t care about.

@Panipal2005 – If you don’t care about any of the titles on the list, it’s your loss, and more open-minded gamers’ gain.
