New Tecmo game to be announced in SF on March 24

Tecmo’s told the US press that it’s to announce a new game on March 24, saying the “hot new title” will be “the greatest “_____” game, ever!”

The reveal’s taking place at the Metreon in San Francisco, and that’s GDC week, so expect something half decent.

Fingers crossed it’s not a bunch of melon-titted virtual cheerleaders rubbing their bikini bottoms on palm trees, eh?

Thanks, Kotaku.

Oh god, please not more DoA. It truly is a lame fighting franchise, it’s awful in comparison with Soul Calibur, Street Fighter or THE KING OF IRON FIST TOURNAMENT

Please don’t let it be a: reading game, dating sim, or point n click game…

Now hold on a second here. What exactly is wront with melon-titted teenagers hmmm? That being said, I hope it’s a new as I can’t see me being interested in another sequel to an existing title or a remake of an older IP.

Bring some meat to the table, Tecmo.

US announcement of Quantum Theory, I’ve heard it said in the thread at NeoGAF.

    I have no clue.

There’s no IP Tecmo owns that’s really any good. Even if it includes the melon affronted volleyball players pictured.

There were supposed to be a couple of DoA spin-offs in the works a couple of years ago, think “Code Cronus” (sp) was one but I’m not sure what happened to all that stuff once Itagki left…

You any idea what he’s up to, incidentally, Pat?

He’s just checking with his Japanese correspondents.

    I’ll do mine too:

Itagaki is currently sitting in a foot fetish bar in the red light district of Tokyo, and he’s just lit a fag and had a tequila, and now another tequila, and another, another, ohh another, ano….
