BioShock 2 listed as “TBA” platforms

Take-Two just put out a press release listing BioShock 2′s platforms as “TBA”.
Immediate speculation has obviously risen as to whether or not there’ll be a PS3 version.
The news came as part of Take-Two’s Q1 financial release.
The game will hit before the end of the company’s financial year on October 31.

And why are there no speculation about the 360 version? It’s not like that has been confirmed.

My money is on a 360 timed exclusive release.

The game was first revealed on the PS3, it would be a pretty weird move if it was a 360 exclusive, timed or not.
But I guess stranger things have happened.

They confirmed it for PS3, didn’t they? When they first announced it?

Morriss wrote the article in that first link so it cant be trusted, and the source is Gamespot of all places.
The teasers been released pretty much everywhere (PSN, XBL, …Internet), i think Take-2 just dont know what they’re talking about, or atleast forgot how much info has already been put out on the game.

It would be curious to see BioShock 2 as an exclusive. I expect it to be on PC, 360 and PS3. No way that they are skipping PS3 again.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be on PS3. I presumed they went to the effort of establishing Bioshock 1 on the PS3 with the long term view of creating a fanbase there in anticipation for a sequel. It didn’t seem like a cash in port, which leads me to believe they had an eye on the future on that machine.
Since they now have experience developing on the PS3, and the system is in place, it makes financial sense for a multiplatform release. But then I suppose there’s always the (extremely realistic) possibility of Microsoft moneyhatting them.

I’ll be amazed if it’s not on PS3 on day one this time around.

Got the PS3 version of Bioshock, played it to death, it was a superb port, didn’t get the DLC for it though anyone know what it’s like?
