Fallout 3 patch boosts 360 graphics

Yeah, well Blerk, Morrowind was derivative of very little. Perhaps that’s why it was such an amazing difference to me.

Maybe it’s just my inner PC fanboy, who’s cross, yet another developer has left complicated bad-selling titles, for consoles gaming titles. Maybe that’s my arsehole.

But for me, nothing is great about it Blerk. The landscape, the creatures, the NPC’s, the weaponry.

The heightmap is generated by some geological simulation technology, not by hand. The creatures are visually different, but all the variance is based on is AP and HP. The NPC’s are much worse than Morrowind’s, and there is nothing good about them, they are just so-so. The weapons, while customisable, don’t feel any good in the first place, I used VATS all the time becuase of it.

I mean, do you literally want me to list everything out, becuase as I said, it is predominantly incompetent to me. I honestly think you are getting confused becuase you enjoyed it. And maybe I need to reiterate again, that’s not ‘no fun’, it is purely based on quantity.

What more can I say?

Surely Morrowind was bog-standard fantasy-fare? That’s not to say it wasn’t good – I can’t comment having never played it.

As I suggested in your “awesome” thread, I think I know what it is and you’ve just hit on it yourself – you want it to still be a PC game. You’re cross because you feel it’s been “consolified”.

Yeah, I defintely think it’s an element of that, and I spoke with the guy behind the lore of Morrowind, who left before Oblivion, and came back for Knight’s of the Nine. And from what he saw of Oblivion development, (althoguh I really didn’t understand half as much then) it was a bit of a appeal to the mainstream movment.

BUT, even so, Fallout 3 is pretty average, until it’s the sum of it’s numerous parts. And that really isn’t fueled by any other ulterior motive.

I didn’t enjoy the game, becuase it felt really unfulfilling and unsatisfying on a basic level. It was fun for a while, but only cus I was punching a two headed cow, and doing the main quest.

And by consolified, you mean I am not cross it’s on other platforms, just that it appeals to mainstream, for sure. That’s my overriding problem with Bethesda on a personal level.

But as I said, there’s problems with Fallout 3 anyway. And going in from Oblivion, you ahve to rememeber I expected MUCH worse.

Perhaps it does look like shit compared to Killzone 2. However, I played Fallout 3 for 240 hours with no multiplayer. Can you say the same thing about Killzone?

Well, I loved Oblivion but IMHO Fallout 3 is a better game (if on a smaller scale in some ways) than that. And the VATTS system is great.

VATTS is great. i loved it. Adam Sessler on G4 said it best about that system…’it never, ever gets old’. BOOM…SPLAT! hehe

You know, the cap at 20 bothered me at first but I found that I wouldn’t need the extra points really. Still…I do want them even though I don’t need them. =p

No_PUDding, you were the one who liked Ucharted A LOT weren’t you? I understand that it’s a different game, but it’s just that I can basically say all this about that game (Uncharted) . could you explain to me, why was Uncharted so much fun to you?

Also if fallout 3 was as technically and graphically robust as Killzone 2, then i doubt it would last that long. If Fallout 3 had multiplay i doubt you’d spend the 6 to 8 hour campaign portion of KZ2 in it. But you know what i bet you i’ll put in 300hrs in kZ2 multiplayer to cover your single campaign portion of FO3. BTW no wishing for DLC cheater LOL they are both FPS at heart mind you also.

Fallout 3 has FPS elements but it’s not an FPS.

what part of “at heart” don’t you get. Everyone including Bethesda has said Fallout 3 is best played in first person. The third person aspect is to give the player a better sense of range and atmosphere the game has. So you fail again Retard. I play it in first person but I use the VATTS system, I very rarely just pull the trigger.
