So now somewhere some Capcom guys is saying that its not exclusive, just that so far its announced for the XBOX, at the same time wont confirm that its coming to PS3.

I say, ” WHO CARES?” Are PS3 players really going to be sad to see this one go to the 360? I know im not.

I think that Mass Effect is more of a asset to the PS3 that LP2. Crappy game.

Can’t see it staying exclusive long either.
Capcom themselves said that they were no longer going to be doing exclusive titles per system.

So, they’re either extremely hypocritical or they’re just plain stupid.

I bought the Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for the PS3 and it was pretty bad yet stupidly I kept the game. I seriously doubt Capcom’s pulling a Killzone feat with this one. Well, at least it’ll save another PS3 gamer from wasting his hard-earned $60.

Wow…didn’t know people didn’t enjoy the game. It was quite fun and adventurous. The lack of ammo at times made it more fun for me.

As far as exclusivity, this won’t last long and PS3 owners shall get another great Capcom game, I believe.

IMHO, if one Capcom game would make sense to be x360 exclusive (ignoring that exclusive games make no financial sense nowadays – double the potential customers, double the potential sales) that would be Dead Rising 2, as the original was not released on the PS3 and it was a commercial hit on the x360.

I don’t think PS3 owners can be that amazed really. MS simply don’t have the first party backing Sony does, so this is how they’re going to generate exclusive content for the 360.

RE5 would be important to keep on PS3 in Japan, for Capcom.

I expect LP2 was somewhat cheaper becuase it’s importance on PS3 was virtually non-existant.

To be honest, the press release is weird, like Blerk says, it doesn’t say exclsuive apart from the announcement. Is it another example of MS trying to ‘own’ the game?

Luckily I bought the original when Game still did their 10 day exchange/money back satisfaction guarantee. Suffice to say it went back after the first play. Painfully boring. Let’s hope they can work some magic for the sequel.

An interesting note though – why would Capcom produce an exclusive for either machine in this day and age of recession. Unless of course Microsoft chucked in a big bag ‘o cash.

Surely it’s totally the wrong game to moneyhat for exclusivity though. Althought the original sold quite well (1.8million according to vgchartz), it was probably down to there being nothing else better to buy on the 360 at the time (the sole reason I bought it). Resi 5 would have been the obvious choice for a moneyhatted exclusive.

And, you can really see it’s the RE5 engine from the screens can’t you?

It’s like the blacks are coloured. Like blue or something, and in RE5, they are green.

The only thing I dislike is the water and the cliff textures. Looks like uncooked fish and foil respectively.

Also, I’m happy to be proved wrong (particularly since I’ve long been impressed by Capcom) but this looks just a bit like more Gears-ish type stuff to me…

There’s a distinct lack of “EXCLUSIVE!!!” boastage in that press release, which leads me believe that it… isn’t. For long.

I played the demo of the first one last night. It’s… alright. I kept running out of ammo, though.
