Raven’s Singularity – first trailer

Monday, 23rd February 2009 21:50 GMT By Patrick Garratt

Raven’s put out the first proper trailer of upcoming FPS Singularity, and, and you’d hope, it’s looking hot.

The plot’s based on a Soviet experiment gone wrong. There’s a special suit and time-warping.

It’s very pretty, no doubt. Out in the fourth quarter. Watch it after the break.

Just watched it on Eurogamer, it looks good.

The screen for the post looks Portal’ish.

did this look like it was played at a low FPS rate ? or is it just me

That does look pretty good, and far less generic looking than I’d expect from Raven.

    Still hoping for something “Bioshock-esque”.

I was quite impressed with it, to be honest. And I’m really looking forward to Wolfenstein. So yay Raven.

I think I might have to play Half Life 2.

It’s worth trying, Blerk. Not an out-and-out classic but a nice game nonetheless. And the Orange Box is well cheap.

In fact, sod HL2 and just buy TOB for Portal. That really *is* an utter masterpiece

Half Life 2 not a classic? WAT.

HL2 is not as good as many would have you believe. There. I said it.

There’s some absolutely amazing stuff in it, and there’s some unnecessary, dull stuff in it. And the ending’s shit.

To be fair, though, it does have some of the most memorable devices and sequences in games.

It was also one of the most influential games to come out at the time, and it still is. It was like Halo before Halo was. Only good and not shit.

Ja, fair point. It is essential. It’s just got some obviously rubbish bits in it. The reviews at the time made it sound as though playing it was akin to drinking God’s semen, or something.
