Rock Band gets a dose of Nirvana on Wii

Wii owners are to finally get a grand taste of Nirvana: seven master recordings from the album Nevermind are on the way.

The songs – Breed, Lounge Act, On a Plain, Polly, Something in the Way, Stay Away, and Territorial Pissings – are up for grabs through the Rock Band Music Store.

These join In Bloom from the original game disc, and Drain You, included in Rock Band 2.

Each track runs the usual $2 (200 Wii Points) through the in-game Rock Band 2 Music Store.

Lounge Act includes the word “fucking”. I expect Daily Mail outrage very soon.

Something In The Way? Really? What a weird choice.

He’s the one, who likes, all our pretty song, and he, likes to sing along, and he, likes to shoot his gun

So there’s basically the whole album aside from the rest of the singles – Teen Spirit, Come As You Are and Lithium. I’m guessing they’re planning on charging more for the most popular songs at a future date? :-)

Are those songs available for ps3 or 360?

Yes JesteR, they are. Wii fans can expect a roll-out of the previously released downloadable content until the entire back cataloge of over 570 songs is available. :-)
