Cryptic Studios: No Captain Kirk in upcoming Star Trek Online

In an extensive interview with Cryptic Studios’ Craig Zinkievich over on MTV Multiplayer, the developer's confirmed that the likes of Kirk, Spock, or any of the other original cast members from Star Trek the TV show will not appear in Star Trek Online.
The game takes place far in the future, essentially. Tiberius and the gang are all long gone.
Guess that means no promiscuous space sex with green women for us. Damn.
