Sony: Killzone 2 servers aren’t live, promo copies work fine online
Following a note from a Guerrilla staffer on the US PS boards overnight that said promo copies of Killzone 2 won’t work online, the company’s officially said that it isn’t true.
Promo copies won’t work at the moment, SCEE told Eurogamer today, as the game’s servers aren’t yet operational. Killzone 2 launches on February 27.
The whole topic arose because promo copies are being sold on Ebay.
This doesn’t mean you should buy one. Wait and get a nice game with a nice box.

The promo copies do have a nice box, and a nice art book, and a nice media kit disc.

People are a bit insane. Maybe it’s because I’m an old fart now but I don’t understand why anyone would pay £300 to get a game a couple of weeks early.
I’d put money on them having a severe backlog of games to play too.

Game’s great btw. Mad fun. Loads of “Fuck yeah” and “Wooaah’s” and everyone sounding like they’re on a hip-hop CD. It’s ace. The guns feel great. The explosions impressive. The AI and rag doll effect is brilliant.
