And why couldn’t this come on the disc?

No mention of the rumoured all-in-one pack at the end of April? If I was cynical I’d suggest they were intentionally misleading people. And I am cynical.

I’m always dubious about DLC that’s announced before the game is even out. Gaming is become more expensive and I don’t like it.

Umm, so what’s in the DLC that’s coming in the CE?

I’m a little tempted to wait until the price drops by the cost of the DLC out of principal, but I’m worried I’d miss the initial flurry of online players and end late to the party like I did with SF Anniversary.
It’s an odd situation. Costumes don’t feel substantial enough to kick up a fuss over missing content, but at the same it’s overpriced for what it is. It’s like Horse Armour all over again.

Dude, the Champion expansion is FREE. You’re using the internet right now to respond to this story. Getting it is hardly going to be a problem.
And those whining about the outfits… the game is perfectly enjoyable without them, you do realise this? You’re getting entire gameplay features for free, and you’re complaining about over-priced outfits? Jesus…
People are willing to pay for that sort of thing. That doesn’t that mean *YOU* have to.

I think the online community is going to be a little stronger than it was for SF Anniversary. In fact, I can’t think of a single a beat-em-up on the 360 that doesn’t still have an active community playing them – I still find matches for Virtua Fighter 5 and Dead or Alive 4 within a minute or two of going online, and titles like Soul Calibur 4 and SSFIITHDR is are still buzzing.
