Source: Battlefield 1943 real, will be shown in Europe this week

Why just the pacific, the first one had every front, and like 30 maps.

On a side note, giving me 1943 has taken away any reason for me to play Heroes. So shot in the foot there.

At least you don’t have to buy Heroes.

I’d be happy to see more WWII because i liked and played 1942 the most.

Same here really, though if they real it up too much it wont be as fun, it was the hectic arcade style gameplay that sold me on 1942, people doing crazy stuff and often being rewarded for it. Creativity should equal prizes.

Still one of my fondest gaming memories was on 1942. 5 v 5 on the Demo (1.1) which was wake island at a big lan party. Our team which was 5 of us from my school (was like 16 at the time) were fighting over planes on the japanese air craft carrier using rocket launchers. The other team occasionally flew by to see what was going on but mostly left us alone to fight it out. Must have been about 10 minutes and not a single plane had successfully taken off from the carrier. By this time the other team were getting pissy because we were messing around so we thought, sure, we’ll play then, but still couldn’t decide who gets the plane.

I then turned around to notice the shoreline was higher, looked down and realised that using hand held rocket launchers alone we managed to sink our own carrier. One of the lads used this to nab a plane, the rest of us just hit the boats and ended up taking the entire map in about 3 minutes which annoyed the other team greatly, before they all anger quitted
