Night of Murder approaches Warhammer Online

warhammeronline4

A live event titled Night of Murder is to run in Warhammer Online from February 6-15.

The shindig is just one of many scheduled for the MMO.

Hopefully it will entice more players to return to the game, considering subscriber numbers have dropped from 750,000 to 300,000 since October 2008.

Full details are posted in the press release below.

A Blood-Red Moon Rises Over the Armies of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning as the Night of Murder Approaches

The armies of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning have plenty to fight over – but starting Friday, February 6th, their bloodlust will rise to a boil as the Night of Murder descends upon the world. Lasting until February 15th, the Night of Murder is a live event that blurs the differences between Good and Evil beneath a crimson haze as the forces of Order and Destruction fulfill deadly tasks in service of the Elf god Khaine.

By completing event tasks detailed in the Tome of Knowledge, players will earn influence with Khaine – influence that will grant them access to exclusive rewards, including the Shadowbane Potion that grants the title of “The Murderous,” or the powerful Talisman of Fell Whispers. To earn Khaine’s favor, members of each realm will be tasked with, among other things, finding and killing enemy targets who have been “marked for death” – including enemy players. On this dark holiday, none are immune to the will of Khaine.
