New Battlefield and multi-format Mass Effect 2 for 2010 [Update]
Update: N’Gai Croal reckons Mass Effect 2′s only been confirmed for PC and 360. Thanks, PT.
EA just said in its Q3 conference call that both Mass Effect 2 and a Battlefield: Bad Company sequel will release in the first three months of 2010.
CEO John Riccitiello appeared to confirm a multi-platform release for Mass Effect 2, suggesting that it will hit both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at launch, and possibly PC.
The first Mass Effect was a 360 exclusive. Expect the fanboys to go crazy ape bonkers.
The Bad Company sequel is presumably the DICE game that was supposed to be shown this week in the UK.

LOL…it makes sense considering EA can port to PS3. Happy day for PS3 owners now who get to play Mass Effect. It’ll be the day that most if not all games are Multi-Platform.

N’gai seems to reckon it isn’t confirmed for PS3… PC and 360 only. I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough:

I am sure MS will secure Mass Effect 2 with timed exclusive… I dont understand why companies cant flat out say its coming to PS3 or vice versa… leaves us hanging. EA has not confirmed ME2 will be coming to ps3…. until then, i’ll leave my hopes up. MS really needs to secure this to fight off sony’s 09 exclsuive.

Even if it goes Multi, still getting the 360 verison.
ME2 is apparently meant to carry on from the ending of the first game from how you played it.
Cant wait to play as [Naomi] Shepard again, I enjoyied playing as her.

Why can’t people just be happy about the fact we’re getting a sequel and that it won’t be a part of the Xmas deluge? The only people who should give a stuff about platform exclusivity are corporate executives and that’s it!
