I’d imagine that a demo for the next Halo FPS would smash all records.

I suppose I should make it 1.8 million and one and see what all the fuss is about.

I’ve just been playing it again. It’s still less wieldy than something that’s really unwieldy. And I still haven’t managed to nobble the chainsaw guy without running out of ammo.

I’ve really got to get around to trying it. All the non jaded gamers (ie those that don’t post on the internet) I’ve spoken to seem to like it.

Yeah, give it some time, unlearn the part of your brain that wants it to control like Gears or Dead Space (which would kill it stone dead, incidentally) and you’ll likely enjoy yourself. Granted, I’m speaking with the benefit of having played a little more of the game than just the demo, and perhaps it’s that it doesn’t really work out of context, but it’s great. A little too in thrall to its immediate predecessor, perhaps, but then aping the second-best videogame ever made isn’t really the worst idea in the world.
In other news, congrats to Pat on the new site (and staff). Looks great.

Sorry, that should read ‘ignore the part of your brain’ – I retyped part of the post. Can we not edit posts any more?

I’ve had more fun playing “Zombie Uprising” the game within the game in Saints Row 2 than I did with the demo, that’s even got co-op too!

That’s a lot of people who now know the meaning of the word ‘tearing’.
