A simple rule to any prospective MMO creators in the future : don't build your game on the basis that you'll be able to take customers away from WoW.

Do your own thing, preferably not just another fantasy, EQ-esque game and carve out your own niche by creating new MMO players instead of getting WoW players to jump ship. You may have a large initial up take but they'll usually drift back and leave you high and dry.
